HER Invited to Speak at Sexual Assault & Consent Summit in DC

We Are HER was invited to speak at the Georgetown Day School’s annual Summit on Sexual Assault and Consent in Washington D.C.

Our organization was recognized for our thought leadership in building an organization that is value-aligned.

Representing HER were board president and vice president Stevie Croisant and Cheyenne Tyler Jacobs.

The summit welcomed over 400 attendees from across the country from students, survivors, and educators.

HER presented a workshop called, “Understanding Your Values, Building Your Organization.” The workshop was designed for participants who were interested in creating their own survivor-centric student group, nonprofit, or community group. In the workshop, we asked participants to identify their core values, rate how they currently translate their values into action, how they build meaningful connections and partnerships, and showed how We Are HER has learned how to live in their values.

We felt so grateful to be in the presence of folks who are making life-changing impacts for sexual violence survivors. We met incredible advocates who work at organizations like the CDC, the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence, Take Back the Night, I Have the Right To, and so many more. Thank you to all the students, faculty, and educators who made the summit possible. We’re grateful to have had a presence there!
